GRADUATION REGALIA
To keep regalia costs as low as possible, USD participates in a rental regalia program. The rental regalia package includes a gown, cap or tam, tassel, and stole or hood. After commencement, return the GOWN ONLY to one of Charlie’s designated drop-off locations.

STUDENT RENTAL REGALIA

  • Toward the end of February, the Office of the Registrar will email graduates with Commencement and regalia ordering information.
  • Deadline for online ordering: March 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
  • Login with your USD credentials. 
  • If you are unable to login, contact the Office of the Registrar at www.usd.edu/registrar or by phone at 605-658-3880. 
  • Need individual regalia items? Contact customerservice@usdcharliestore.com. 
  • If you missed the regalia ordering deadline, please contact customerservice@usdcharliestore.com. A late fee will apply for all orders after the deadline. 
  • If you are interested in purchasing your rental gown, contact troygraves@gravesgraduation.com or 402-699-1471.


FACULTY REGALIA

  • A faculty regalia ordering link will be emailed by the Office of the Registrar.
  • Faculty ordering deadline: April 12, 2026

REGALIA PICKUP (STUDENT AND FACULTY ORDERS)

  • Regalia will be hanger delivered to the Center for Career Design, Room 101 on campus in the Muenster University Center. Please bring a form of ID and pick up during any of the following times.
  • April 27 - May 1 | 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • May 4 - 8 | 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • May 9 | 7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

HOW TO WEAR REGALIA VIDEO 


REGALIA GOWN DROP-OFF LOCATIONS 
Immediately following the ceremony, return your gown only (keep cap/tam, stole/hood and tassel) at the designated area outside the east doors of the Sanford Coyote Sports Center entrance. To return the gown, you will need to do one of the following:

  1. Bring your Coyote ID Card or your Coyote Card Mobile ID to tap the event reader OR
  2. Bring your cell phone to scan a QR Code to complete a gown return form OR
  3. If you have neither a Coyote ID or cell phone, staff can help with gown return. 

Returns are accepted at the Muenster University Center Service Desk. Please bring your cell phone to scan the QR Code to process your gown return.
